Little Old Me

Hello, I’m Abiageal! I grew up in Durham, North Carolina- better known as the Bull City. Until the age of 2, I wanted to be a ballerina/doctor but, after watching “Singing In The Rain”, I knew theatre was what I wanted to do. I grew up watching/learning/performing theatre at Young People’s Performing Company (YPPC) and it is my second home. Eventually I landed at Eckerd College with plans to achieve B.As in Theatre and Psychology. As luck would have it, in my sophomore year, Eckerd announced its joint B.F.A program with Circle In The Square Theatre School. I’m proud to say that I am the first B.F.A recipient of the program.

In theatre, I’ve always been interested in the more psychological and dark roles, but also the comedic roles; I also like to explore how either can be found in the other. As an actor, I want to tell stories and make people feel things or I want to make people laugh- often you can do both. As an actor with ADHD, I want to eventually bring more awareness to how it affects acting/actors; hopefully I can help foster a community of actors/performers with ADHD that shares advice and tools. Outside of theatre I love dogs, psychology, sleep, and family whenever I can (they all live out of state). I love to laugh and consider myself a hopeless romantic.
